Holy hell I soiled myself.

TransformOnline - Music Review

HOLY FUCK! Where in the Christ ass shit cum queen flying fat fuck did this band come from!? Cuz they are something else. You need to hear this. Even if I didn’t like this disc, I would tell you to buy it and listen to it. IT’S MIND BENDING! If my editor is smart, he would put a song from this disc in the Radio section so that you and your little arrow friend can go over and listen. If it’s the opener and your jaw does not drop to the ground, seek professional help. Or, if you’re like me, change your diaper.

Stnnng are one of the best and most original late calls of 2006. Imagine the guitars of Chavez and Slint, the bass playing of Paul Malinowski, and the genius of Peter Gabriel and David Bowie blending the storytelling of The Decemberists. This is a creative orgy: Stnnng are creatively fucking your mind out of your eardrums. Imagining these guys live is giving me wood. This is frenetic, pulsing energy that defies punk roots, scaling the walls of indie (and even metal) and riding a bomb down on it via Dr. Strangelove. Seriously, you will love it or hate it. If you hate it, I recommend you go to Best Buy and pick up the new Breaking Benjamin. That might be more of your style. Or maybe I am just an overconfident asshole trying to help you understand that this disc is absolutely brilliant.

I can’t say any more, cuz there’d be no point. I could list songs, but you just have to hear the whole thing, end of discussion. Sorry for the shortness: I am all out of ideas after this one. You may never hear genius like this in your life again, folks. That’s all. Get it and crap yourself.

shane shiner posted the following Constructive Criticism: I couldn't agree more. This record rules so hard. I am lucky enough to live in their home of minneapolis...they are indeed awesome live. have a show coming up, with my band and them. gonna be crazy.
