Quirky, loud, innovative, obnoxious, and just plain weird.

TransformOnline - Music Review

Primus - Les Claypool + Isaac Brock + 1,000 extra kick beats = Hell Songs. I honestly could just leave it at that.

Seriously, this album is an interesting specimen. Like the kid in high school who always wanted your thoughts, Daughters spare no resource in keeping your attention. If they’re not rocking, they’re playing violin with an unrosined bow. If they’re not screaming – in an original fashion – they’re speaking with the tongue of a pastor. Not being a fan of hardcore music, I must say this album is a delight. Quirky, loud, innovative, obnoxious, and just plain weird all at once. The highlight being the first song titled “Daughters Spelled Wrong.”

Usually, I resolve my previous statements with a conclusive paragraph. This album leaves me speechless. Please see the introductory paragraph.
