Don’t call it folk, call it good.

TransformOnline - Music Review

This was a nice treat to spin, a baker’s dozen of deliciously crafted folky-punk rock with sweet levels allowing for instrumentation and vocals to soar. Don’t lump ‘em with the savvy punkers who listen to Dylan or Guthrie or even with the DiFrancos, Smites, and Blythe Powers that have come before them… though they are in close tune with labelmates Whiskey & Co. Fuck it. It’s a solid album and I am enjoying it and I might drive up to The Fest V to see them tear it up live… and maybe I’ll go drinking with them afterward, what the fuck.

The six-piece breaks down like this: Ryan (upright bass), Geoff (guitar), Will (guitar, harmonica, drums), BZ (violin, drums), Sherri (cello, banjo, guitar), and Theo (drums, guitar), and they all sing, which is nice since it doesn’t break the flow with different inflictions, but rather maintains the proper amounts of passion and snarl, not to mention that the lady’s voice peppers the recording in a rewarding manner. Hot shit.
