Three discs is a long way to say goodbye.

TransformOnline - Music Review

Acting as a best-of/introduction to a band no one’s heard of on this side of the pond, Mcluskyism collects the singles, their respective b-sides, live “favourites,” and some odds-n-sods from the somewhat recently defunct Cardiff, Wales band Mclusky.

Taking many of their cues from later-period Pixies, Mclusky liked their guitars crunchy and their vocals snotty. I might have been able to handle an EP of this, but three fucking discs?! It makes a guy want to give up reviewing albums altogether (that’s a little inside joke between Timmy and me)!

Best stick to the a-sides (disc one), featuring such clever titles as “Lightsaber Cocksucking Blues” and “Without MSG I Am Nothing.” The rest of the music is for completists only and most of them are too busy eating fish and chips to give two fucks about this review anyway.
