Anderson and O'Neill, aka Sing-Sing, have released their much anticipated sophomore record And I on their own Aerial Records. Emma Andersen – known for having led Lush through the better part of last decade – and Lisa O_Neill – who has sung parts for everyone from Kid Loco to Locust – have yet again put out an album that exemplifies their amazing vocal abilities. Although there is a bit of over-production intended to flourish each song, as well as a gist of the electronica sound that was exhibited on The Joy Of, this record still manages to bring out the best of these ladies. The record contains a multitude of sparkly guitars, harpsichord references, disembodied vocals, and lush lyrics. "Come, Sing Me a Song," one of the more irresistible tracks on the record, contains an epic string section that is sure to lure in the most unsuspecting listener. Although certain songs are short on the expansion of words ("Lover" and "Going Out Tonight," for example), their catchy hooks and danceable choruses manage to keep your attention steady. With such sharp wannabe-pop-hits, it is tough not to be infatuated with And I.
