The future is bright and young!

TransformOnline - Music Review

With their members being 18 to 19 years-old, these Bay Area teenagers show a talent for writing and composing furious death metal hooks that even some seasoned acts cannot conjure. The comparison can be made to Poland’s Decapitated, who also showed such metal maturity at a very young age.

Pulling their sound and influences from the forefathers of the death metal world, Animosity have composed an identity for themselves that is classic death (“Thieves”) with hints of hardcore (“Shut it Down”) while putting their own unique spin on things. Their sounds is at times reminiscent of the Southern groove of Blooduster, except with much better musicianship, grindcore blasting, and old school vocals a la Pungent Stench and Carcass. Animosity are fresh, innovative, and ready to pummel your ear drums. And at 27 minutes long, Empires is over before you realize it. The future looks bright for these young and talented death metalers!
