Carnival keyboards and reefer madness.

TransformOnline - Music Review

The Apes sure do play some strange music. It’s groovy, slightly cartoonish sounding acid rock. Kind of like Scooby Doo and the gang getting down after an intense reefer session. It’s all carnival keyboards, swirling vocals, and break beats.

Not exactly my cup of tea, but I can see the jam band crowd being big on it. It’s total neo hippy stuff. I guess the big gimmick is that they don’t have a guitar player. So that should peak some people’s interest. Just sounds a little too silly to me.
