Nightrage "Descent into Chaos" (Century Media)

So by-the-numbers that you'll say "meh."

TransformOnline - Music Review

I didn’t buy the hype surrounding Sweet Vengeance, and Descent into Chaos doesn’t strengthen their case with this old timer either. Nightrage utilize all the elements of Swedish death metal to execute by-the-books, straight forward compositions that – although tasty at some points (choruses of “Being Nothing” and “Poems”) – ultimately leaves you shrugging your shoulders and saying “meh.” It’s not bad, it’s not good, it’s just… there. The only exception is the title track, where a semi-minimalistic opening riff actually delivers more variety and heaviness than the rest of the album’s standard fare.
