South Florida is a weird place.

This 21 band, 21 track compilation disc is a nice (and long overdue) collection of fine Florida bands, and yes, one Canadian act. Big names: Against All Authority do “Wet Floor Policy” and The Crumbs lend “Nasty Child.” Solid tunes from garage devils AC Cobra, sadly defunct rock and rollers The Getback, and punks Sound 4 Sound. TV darlings The Stop Motion contribute a track as do SoFla bands Hopesick, Why Not, and Malicioso. The Runnamucks and Ramshackles provide bursts of hardcore energy, The Van Orsdels’ a psychobilly interlude, and The Heatseekers deliver pure rock and roll attitude. The Delegates are the lone Canadians here and belt out a fine ska-punk number. Cool surprises for you will be the punk rock of The Hangovers, the Slade-meets-Load-in-a-deadly-brawl arena punk of Stay Hitt, and the future disco-rock of Iceland’s relocated-to-Miami weirdoes Pool Party.
