The Gutter Twins, the long-gestating project between Greg Dulli (of The Twilight Singers; ex-The Afghan Whigs) and Mark Lanegan, will release their Sub Pop debut Saturnalia on March 4th, 2008.

According to the label's publicist, "Saturnalia was a feast/festival back in Ancient Roman times where the slaves became the masters. A fitting title for this album." According to Dulli, "I couldn't tell you what Saturnalia's theme is, but there's a seeking of transcendence that's new. I have never written songs like this before. It's a different temple I'm visiting."
