I was looking forward to this show, having heard some of Juliette's recent recordings. Juliette who? Oh yeah… Juliette Lewis: you might remember her from Cape Fear or Natural Born Killers, perhaps? Anyway, she is expanding her range of talents into the music world and has formed a band with Toby Morse of H20 and Patty Schemel of Hole. She's also recently collaborated with The Prodigy. An interesting mix, to say the least!
Anyhow, a series of events prevented me from staying for the entire show, but I was nonetheless quite impressed with what I saw. Juliette and her band put on an energetic performance on the tiny stage and the sold out crowd was completely enthusiastic and receptive. Her performance was provocative and rather sexually charged, which I gather is typical based on the photos I've seen from this summer’s Warped Tour and other recent gigs.
I think Juliette is one of the very few individuals who’s able to successfully cross over from acting to music without being a novelty act a la William Shatner, Bruce Willis, or any of the dozen teen girl popstars out there. She's absolutely worth seeing, and although no tour dates are currently posted, you might want to keep your eye out for her at a local venue – I have a feeling she's likely to gain a good deal of popularity and hit the road again soon!

Well you'r right.Nowdays there are very few performers that can do a really impressive rock and roll show.I would dare to say if you wanna see and ear real rock, you have to go to a "Juliette & the Licks"concert, and i'm not a kid,it's 54 years that i'am around and i sure know many things about rock.
The way I see it?:dont miss Juliette and her little rock and roll band.
