Web site runs amateur test to find which next-gen system is the most "green".
Website HardCOREware.net had some fun running a small test to see how much electricity each new video game system sucked up during running. Between the big three, the Wii seemed to damage our earth the least, sucking up an average of 17 watts in-game, 10 watts during download, and 3 watts at idle. The 360 and PS3 also had a 3 watt idle suck, but the damage was vastly higher, close to the 200 watt mark for the PS3 in-game, with the 360 close behind at 185 watts in-game. PCs were also tested, and the rig they used peaked at 209 watts.
