Ugh, school!

Well, I've finally gone and done it, I dragged my butt back off to school. It's a basic art class, but for those of you that know art, know that even that can cost you in the supplies department. Needless to say, buying the Ghost in The Shell manga may have to wait a bit... I'm sorry about that.

In other news, some of you may know this, but the rest may not. Acclaim is dead. What this means for games that are finished is not quiet known, but for games that aren't finnised, say goodbye! Unless someone else picks up the rights, they will NEVER come out.

Also, it is a fact now that the next Nintendo system will NOT be online. To some of you this is a shock, to most it's old news. Company President Satoru Iwata was quoted in EGM as saying, and I quote; "customers do not want online games." To all those with XBOX Live!, and several playing and loving online games on on the PS2, you obviously don't matter to Nintendo.

Speaking of things left out of next gen systems, the next XBOX may not have a hard-drive, or backwards compatibilty. Where as Sony on the other hand seems to have plans for massive networking that hopefully will include the PSP, hopefully with backwards compatibility as well. So, naturally, it looks like I'm going Sony with the next gen systems.

Speaking of the PSP, I doubt I will be buying it or the DS. The systems, while cool and unique in thier own ways seem too me that they themselves should be consoles. There is no way in hell I'm going to actually carry some like that around with me. Can you imagine if it broke or something? Also factor in battery life, control scheme, and screen size... Meh, the GBA SP gives me a headache...

For those of you that noticed my flood of reviews going stagnant, this is because I have not found something that either really does it for me, or makes me want to vomit. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I won't review mediocre games, because I can't get worked up enough about it. The review would suffer horribly, and would put you to sleep... the same sleep that the game that I reviewed put me to sleep.

But since I'm here, I'll give a brief review of Ghost Hunter. It's simple, what would happen if John Woo directed Ghost Busters? Yup, there you go... The game is pretty mediocre, nothing that really sucks, but nothing that really does much. At least this is how I feel. You may love it. Who knows... But I'll tell you a secret... I played this game for about an hour before packing it up and returning it.

Oh, one more thing, if you don't have a subscription to Game Fly, and still rent from Buck Blaster... GET A GAMEFLY SUBSCRIPTION! Sure you have to wait for the game to ship to your house, but think about it this way. You get to rent 3 games, and pay about 30 something dollars, roughly 10 dollars a game for 30 days. Plus if you rent a really long game, keep it for as long as you want, and only pay that same 30 odd a month. Really like a game? Buy it off them for a used game price and they ship you everything. So, essentially, if you rent a game and get it days after it's release, you can immediately buy that game, that just came out, as a used game. Doing this will ensure you a game that hasnever been played, for a lower price. They get tons of copies of new games so you never have to wait for a game to come in. Ok, enough of my blather, I'm not getting paid by them... lol
